Los Cabos Mexico Wedding

Updated: Jun 11, 2020

The ultimate place to start your happily ever after! #Mexico will always be near and dear to my heart as that is where I decided to tie the knot. Naturally, I was thrilled when Lisa and Ryan asked me to travel to #LosCabos to photograph their special day!

I first met my #bride and #groom at the #YEG #EdmontonAirport . Grabbing a quick #Starbucks to prep us for our day of #travel! Here we go! Boarding our #Sunwing flight en route to Mexico!

Once we arrived at the #RIUSanteFe I was excited to explore the beautiful #AllInclusiveWeddingResort and scope out the best places to take the #wedding day photos and also to time the sunset, a very crucial part of planning your #WeddingPhotography! The #RIU itself is gorgeous and made my job of scouting photo spots easy but also difficult (too many options!)

Fast forward to wedding day! Time to meet Lisa for her #GettingReadyPhotos! Although every minute of a wedding day is special, the getting ready photos are my absolute favourite. There is something I really enjoy about laying out the #WeddingDress and accessories and capturing their beauty. Lisa wore a gorgeous #CasaBlanca gown which was perfectly paired with the #Dessy #BridesmaidsDresses.

Ryan and his wedding party were absolutely wonderful! They were ready to go, organized, and they clean up quite well! They had their cigars and custom #GroomsmenTumblers set aside for me to photograph. What beauties these small town guys are!

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful backdrop to be #married in front of! The salty sea breeze and iconic #ElArco, the RIU sure know show to do weddings right. They even had buckets of #champagne ready to go to start the celebration once the #IDo's were completed and the #FirstKiss was had.

With any #TropicalWedding you really have to be conscious of when the #sunset will be providing you with a gorgeous #GoldenHour. For Ryan and Lisa, this gave us exactly one hour between the ceremony and when the sun will go down. It is amazing how fast the sun can set! For me, this meant it was time to take the #BridalPartyPhotos and the #BrideAndGroomPhotos. With such an easy going group of people it was such a blast capturing their personalities and friendships!

The #ReceptionDecor was truly elegant. A chalkboard welcome sign greets you at the garden entrance while the spread of cuisine guides you to your table. The #headtable was placed right infront of the gazebo where the #WeddingCake was displayed. #Stringlights were draped over the entire #WeddingReception to add to the magic in the air. All around it was a wonderful day spent with wonderful people. I wish Lisa and Ryan a life filled of #love and #happiness!
